2025 Hall of Fame Inductee
Heather Blake
Heather taught me how to text on my flip phone - not an easy thing for an old girl to learn! I think she did it so I would stop calling her! Heather, thank you for everything, including being my BFF and ash spreader (still holding you to that!). Heather and Jill are cornerstones in the foundation of our team. In the early days of NSWR, we often struggled to get players, but Heather and Jill were constants. They showed up, led by example, and always stayed positive. They helped create a diverse and inclusive team, welcoming all, and always working to recruit new players. Without their leadership NSWR might not have survived. Under their tenure, we instituted MBN - Mandatory Bar Night! This encouraged the team to bond socially, which as we all know is integral for any rugby club! After training on Thursdays at the GE Field in Lynn, we would head to Boston St. for beers and grilled cheese. GCT - Grilled Cheese Thursdays! Great memories. Jill and Heather, be proud of your time and contributions to NSWR. We are a better team because of you.

Jill Colgan
Jill literally gave me the shirt off her back - an almost one of a kind NSWR long sleeve T. I was fairly new to the team and she wanted me to feel included. I still have that shirt!
